§ The Joint Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Housing and Local Government (Mr. F. V. Corfield)I beg to move, in page 2, line 27, to leave out from "expedient" to the end of line 30.
The Committee will recall that when discussing Clause 1 in Committee of the whole House, I undertook to substitute the provisions of Section 290 of the Local Government Act for the provisions of Clause 1 with regard to the costs of public inquiries. This was done by the insertion of Clause 85 in Standing Com- 42 mittee and this Amendment is consequential.
