Resolved, That, for the purposes of any Act of the present Session to make fresh provision for securing the health, safety and welfare of persons employed to work in office or shop premises and provision for securing the health, safety and welfare of persons employed to work in certain railway premises, it is expedient to authorise— (1) the payment out of moneys provided by Parliament of—

  1. (a) any expenses incurred by the Minister of Labour in carrying the Act into effect;
  2. (b) any increase attributable to the Act in the expenses of the Minister of Power which, by virtue of section 3 (3) of the Ministry of Fuel and Power Act 1945, are defrayed out of moneys so provided;
  3. (c) any increase attributable to the Act in the sums payable by way of General Grant, Rate-Deficiency Grant or Exchequer Equalisation Grant under the enactments relating to local government in England and Wales or in Scotland;
(2) the payment into the Exchequer of any sums received under the Act by the Minister of Labour.—[Mr. Whitelaw.]
