HC Deb 15 November 1962 vol 667 c554
21. Mr. Stratton Mills

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what action he intends to take on the Hall Committee's recommendations on the development of air transport between Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

Mr. Brooke

Arrangements have been made for a study, which will be promoted by the Air Transport Licensing Board, of the possibilities of developing the transport of freight by air between Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

Mr. Stratton Mills

Will my right hon. Friend say when this inquiry is to commence, and will he seek means by which Messrs. Short Brothers & Harland Ltd. may be associated with this inquiry?

Mr. Brooke

The detailed arrangements for the study are really a matter for my right hon. Friend the Minister of Aviation, but I will certainly bring to his notice what my hon. Friend has said.
