§ Mr. HayIt is too early to say when the Midland Motorway Links through West Bromwich, including this junction, will be completed. We are, however, pressing ahead with the necessary preparatory work.
§ Mr. DugdaleIn view of the importance of this junction, can the hon. Gentleman say what ancillary roads are likely to be provided there, and what control the Ministry will have over them, particularly as this is in the centre of a green belt?
§ Mr. HayI think I should prefer to see that supplementary question on the Paper. It is an extremely complex and difficult matter because here a number of motorways will be joining and the area is intensely developed. If the right hon. Gentleman would like to have a word with me, I could explain the situation a little more clearly to him, with the aid of diagrams and so on, than I can on the Floor of the House.
