asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what new evidence has been brought to the notice of the Northern Rhodesia authorities in the case of the murder of Mrs. Lilian Burton.

In that case, will my right hon. Friend inquire of the Governor of Northern Rhodesia what action has been taken or is to be taken against members and publications of the U.N.I.P. which have hailed those convicted of this atrocious murder as political martyrs?

Mr. Maudling

If those publications had involved a criminal offence, action would, I am sure, have been taken; but I doubt that that is so.
