§ 5. Sir Richard Glynasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer on what bodies he has regular meetings with the worker and management representatives of industry, including the nationalised industries, and agriculture.
§ Mr. Selwyn LloydI have regular meetings with the representatives of employers and trade unions and the nationalised industries on the National Production Advisory Council on Industry.
§ Sir Richard GlynWould not my right hon. and learned Friend agree that, in the interests of efficiency and economy, all such meetings should be coordinated, and will he do his best, with the co-operation of his Ministerial colleagues, to see that in future all such meetings are convened by him and held under the aegis of the N.E.D.C.?
§ Mr. LloydI will consider the point which my hon. Friend has put. I am not sure that it will be acceptable to all my Ministerial colleagues. Nevertheless, I agree with him, and I hope that I shall very soon be able to make a statement on the position of some of these bodies when we have the N.E.D.C. set up.
