Resolution reported, That, for the purposes of any Act of the present Session to continue with amendments the provisions relating to the payment of Exchequer Equalisation and Transitional Grants to local authorities in Scotland, to increase the limit of contributions payable to such authorities under the Rural Water Supplies and Sewerage Act 1944, to amend the law of Scotland relating to valuation and rating, and for other matters, it is expedient to authorise the payment out of moneys provided by Parliament of any increase attributable to the provisions of the said Act of the present Session in the sums so payable—

  1. (a) by way of Exchequer Equalisation or Transitional Grant under the enactments relating to local government in Scotland;
  2. (b)under the Rural Water Supplies and Sewerage Act 1944.
