§ Mr. PavittIn view of the importance of these technicians undertaking the 883 whole range of the duties falling within their province, and the way they have organised their profession so as to award a diploma, would it not be advisable for the Ministry to give recognition to encourage more probationer technicians to become the expert, qualified people the service needs?
§ Mr. BraineThe Department has advised all employing authorities to give training in accordance with an outline syllabus that has been drawn up after consultation, and I think that that is where we can leave it.
