§ 24. Mr. Dugdaleasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies for how long it is intended that Mr. Kenneth Kaunda is to be refused permission to enter Northern Province, Barotseland, and parts of Eastern Province.
§ Mr. Iain MacleodMr. Kaunda has not been refused permission to enter the Northern and Eastern Provinces, and in fact visited the Northern Province recently. On one occasion last year, certain native authorities required him, under powers vested in them by the Native Authority Ordinance, to leave their particular areas of the Northern Province. The entry of persons into Barotseland is a matter for the Litunga.
