§ Mr. HayA road widening scheme to provide refuges has been deferred until the trolley buses are withdrawn early next year. We are investigating whether any interim measures can be taken.
§ Mr. RussellWhile thanking my hon. Friend for that Answer, might I ask him to bear in mind that the discussion about whether to have refuges or pedestrian crossings there has been going on for about two years? Will he expedite the matter as much as possible, because it is a difficult road to cross?
