§ Mr. BoydenIs not this a comment on the misleading promises which the Government made when the Local Employment Bill was being discussed? Many of us were under the impression at that time that a great deal of activity would take place in cases where there is a great deal of industrial filth left about on sites? Could not the right hon. Gentleman take the initiative with the local council and with the Ministry of Housing and Local Government with a view to putting some of these sites right?
§ Mr. ErrollThe Bishop Auckland Urban District Council has not made any application to the Government, but we should be very glad to consider any applications which are submitted.
