With permission, Mr. Speaker, I would like to make a short business statement.

On Wednesday, 12th July, we pro- pose, after the business already announced has been disposed of, to complete the remaining stages of the Trustee Investments Bill [Lords].

Afterwards, the House will be invited to consider the Motion relating to the House of Commons Members' Fund standing in the names of the right hon. Gentleman the Member for Llanelly (Mr. J. Griffiths) and other trustees.

Since the Leader of the House is answering questions on matters of business—

No, I do not think that that is so. The hon. Gentleman's question would be out of order unless it was on the substance of the business statement.

Surely, Mr. Speaker, it is perfectly proper to ask the right hon. Gentleman whether, for the business he is announcing, he can substitute some other form of business? If we are permitted to do that on Thursday, why are we not able to do so today? All I wanted to ask was whether the right hon. Gentleman would reply to the question asked by my hon. Friend the Member for Dudley (Mr. Wigg), which the Minister of Defence—

No, that must be out of order, I think, but no doubt some opportunity will arise on Thursday.
