asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will place in the Library the schedule of norms for university buildings referred to in paragraph 50 of Sir Arthur Rucker's report on methods of controlling university expenditure.

I have arranged with the University Grants Committee for this to be done.

Can the right hon. and learned Gentleman say how these norms compare with the residential standards of colleges of advanced technology, as, for example, at Battersea? If he has not considered this point, will he do so?

I cannot answer that without notice, but I will consider the matter.
