19. Mr. P. Browne

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will implement the recommendations of the Committee on Hedgerow and Farm Timber.

Mr. Soames

The Committee's recommendations did not lend themselves to formal implementation, but the Forestry Commission and my Department have encouraged the planting of hedgerow trees and farm woodlands as far as possible along the lines of the advice they received from the Committee.
