Mr. McKayasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government and Minister for Welsh Affairs if he is aware of the general dissatisfaction in the Wallsend area regarding the lack of progress on the Northumberland County Development plan, with particular reference to Wallsend; and what progress is now being made with the plan.
Dr. HillI know that Wallsend is concerned to get on with its main shopping area. A decision letter which will enable it to do this is being issued today.
I will deal with the remainder of the North Tyneside Town Map as quickly as possible.
