asked the President of the Board of Trade what inquiries have been made concerning the tenancy of an empty Board of Trade factory at Stockton-on-Tees since 7th March, 1961.

One firm has made an inquiry about this factory since 7th March.

As this factory has been standing idle for some months, and looks like standing idle for many months ahead, will the right hon. Gentleman consider, as a last resource, selling it if he cannot lease it?

I should have to look into that suggestion. We are trying to find a tenant as vigorously as we can.
