HC Deb 30 November 1960 vol 631 cc372-3
16. Mr. W. Hamilton

asked the Minister of Labour how many boys, girls, and women, respectively, are currently unemployed in the Cowdenbeath exchange area; how many vacancies are available; and what were the comparable figures for each of the last three years.

Mr. P. Thomas

As the reply includes a table of figures I will, with permission circulate a statement in the OFFICIAL REPORT.

Mr. Hamilton

Will the hon. Gentleman give me just two figures from the list—the number of boys apparently unemployed and the number of vacancies for such boys—because that information may be of interest when we come to a subsequent Question?

Mr. Thomas

Yes, Sir. The number of boys under 18 registered as unemployed is 37 and the number of vacancies notified and remaining unfilled is 3.
