Resolved, That it is expedient, if any Act of the present Session provides for licensed premises in Wales and Monmouthshire to open on Sundays for the sale of intoxicating liquor, to authorise the payment out of moneys provided by Parliament of any increase in the sums provided by way of rate-deficiency grant or Exchequer equalisation grant under the enactments relating to local government in England and Wales or in Scotland, being an increase attributable to expenses incurred under the Act by a local authority in Wales or Monmouthshire in connection with the holding of a local poll to determine whether licensed premises in the area of the authority should open or continue to open on Sundays for the sale of intoxicating liquor.—[Mr. Vosper.]
