HC Deb 21 November 1960 vol 630 c756
32. Mr. Gresham Cooke

asked the Minister of Aviation to what extent, expressed as a percentage, the British Overseas Airways Corporation and British European Airways, respectively, are able to meet the annual cost of replacement of aircraft out of their own resources.

Mr. Rippon

Over the four years 1958–59 to 1961–62 the B.O.A.C. expects to have met from its own resources 85 per cent. of the cost of replacing, as distinct from expanding, its fleet, and B.E.A. expects to have met 100 per cent.
