§ Mr. BrewisDo I understand from that reply that my hon. Friend is not going to make any special arrangements? If that is so, will he endeavour to phase imports so as not to cause a glut in the home market, bearing in mind that last year early potatoes of Ayrshire were practically unsaleable?
§ Mr. ErrollImports of new potatoes are admitted under open general licence between 1st November in one year and 31st August in the next. I see nothing at present which is likely to cause us to change this practice.
