HC Deb 09 March 1960 vol 619 c414
34. Mr. Woodburn

asked the Minister of Transport whether he is aware that commercial travellers are hampered in their work by the speed limit of 30 miles per hour and log book requirements which handicap cars carrying samples as compared with ordinary motor cars; and whether he will now ease these restrictions.

Mr. Marples

No, Sir. Commercial travellers using ordinary cars or dual purpose vehicles to carry samples are not subject to these requirements. If they use goods vehicles they are bound by the same law as other users of such vehicles. I do not think this is unfair.
