§ The Lord AdvocateI beg to move, in page 89, line 4, to leave out from "but" to end of line 6 and to insert:
not more than once during each period of twelve months after the expiration of the initial period the nearest relative may appeal to the sheriff to discharge the patient.(5) Subsections (2) and (3) of section fifty-one of this Act shall apply to an appeal under the last foregoing sub-paragraph in like manner as they apply to an appeal referred to in that section".This is a drafting Amendment. It slightly amends the wording. though not the sense, of the Opposition Amendment which was accepted in Committee.
