That it is expedient to amend section thirteen of the Vehicles (Excise) Act, 1949.

§ The Joint Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Transport (Mr. John Hay)In case there is a thirst for knowledge on this subject on the benches opposite, may I say that this Motion is intended to pave the way for a new Clause in the Finance Bill which the House will be considering tomorrow. There is nothing much in this Motion but quite a deal in the Clause, which I must not anticipate now.
