§ Mr. SpeakerI have an announcement to make to the House. The House will recall proposals that we should improve our Papers dealing with the daily business of the House. We have prepared a new set of Papers which we have been able to submit to the Select Committee on Publications and Debates Reports for its consideration and report to me. I should like to express my gratitude on behalf of the House and on my own behalf to the Committee for the great help it has given to me.
I have adopted, with some trifling modifications, all the Committee's suggestions. I will not detain the House now by attempting to describe the new Papers. They will be available to the House in their new form from the beginning of the new Session, expected to be on 1st November next, and I hope that hon. Members will find them to be an acceptable improvement on what we have now.
