HC Deb 26 July 1960 vol 627 c1259

Lords Amendments considered, pursuant to Order [25th July], and agreed to.

Mr. Dudley Williams

On a point of order. I wonder, Mr. Speaker, whether I could raise the fact that the Amendments to these Bills are not available to hon. Members who wish to see them. I wonder what procedure we could adopt to ensure that in future Amendments are put on the Order Paper so that Members of Parliament can easily see what they are before making up their minds whether to discuss them, to support them or to refuse to pass them?

Mr. Speaker

If the hon. Member finds himself in difficulties under the present rule, he should object to the Bill. I appreciate the point that he is making, but it is not really a matter for me. It would, I think, be an alteration of the practice of the House.
