Resolution reported, That, for the purposes of any Act of the present Session to increase the borrowing powers of the British Overseas Airways Corporation and the British European Airways Corporation, it is expedient to authorise such increases—

  1. (a) in the sums issued out of the Consolidated Fund under section ten of the Air Corporations Act, 1949, being sums required by the Treasury for fulfilling guarantees given under that section; and
  2. (b) in the sums paid into the Exchequer under the said section ten, being sums received by way of repayment of any sums so issued, or by way of interest thereon,
as may be attributable to provisions of the said Act of the present Session raising the limit on money borrowed by the British Overseas Airways Corporation from one hundred and sixty million pounds to one hundred and eighty million pounds and the limit on money borrowed by the British European Airways Corporation from sixty million pounds to ninety-five million pounds.
