HC Deb 10 February 1960 vol 617 c437
9. Mr. de Freitas

asked the Minister of Defence what plans he has for changing the career structure of the Royal Air Force and the other Services, so as to avoid the compulsory retirement of so many officers and senior non-commissioned officers under the age of 50 years.

Mr. Watkinson

I hope to make a statement after Questions about career-structures for officers. So far as warrant officers and non-commissioned officers are concerned, no change is contemplated. The resettlement of other ranks is, in general, not a serious problem and the Grigg Committee did not recommend any change here.
