§ 23. Mr. Jannerasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether, in view of the anti-Semitic incidents in various parts of the world, he will instruct the United Kingdom delegate on the Commission of Human Rights to request that the matter be put on the agenda of the forthcoming 16th Session of the Commission.
§ Mr. ProfumoA resolution on these outbreaks has been adopted by a Sub-Commission of the Human Rights Commission. It will appear on the agenda of the Commission in March.
§ Mr. JannerI thank the right hon. Gentleman very much for that reply. May I ask him to use his utmost endeavours to ensure that the resolution which has been submitted for approval to the Commission of Human Rights will be accepted by the Commission and put into practical effect?
§ Mr. ProfumoI think that I cannot go further than to say that Her Majesty's Government do recognise the deplorable character of the recent manifestations and are in general agreement with the terms of the resolution proposed for adoption by the Human Rights Commission.
