§ 38. Mr. Shepherdasked the Attorney-General if he is aware of the extensive practice of freeholders, solicitors, estate agents, building societies and corporations insisting upon a specific insurance company for fire cover in respect of properties with which they are concerned as a result of which commissions are often drawn; and whether he intends to deal with this restrictive trade practice legislatively, as recommended by the Leasehold Committee Final Report, 1950.
§ The Attorney-GeneralI have no information as to the extent of the practice referred to. The Government do not propose to introduce legislation to deal with it.
