§ 1. Mr. Iremongerasked the Minister of Education what consultations he has had with interested bodies, following his consideration of the proposal submitted to him by the Authors' Society for a public lending right, about methods of providing for the remuneration of authors and publishers for books supplied to public and lending libraries.
§ The Minister of Education (Sir David Eccles)I advised the promoters to discuss their proposals with the local authority associations and other library interests, and I also asked those bodies to take part in these discussions.
