§ Mr. SandysI beg to move, in page 10, line 12, at the end to insert:
and shall, as soon as may be after the end of each year, make a report to the Minister as to the exercise and performance of their functions under this Act in that year, which shall cover any particular matters on which the Minister bias requested them to report; and the Minister shall lay a copy of every such report before each House of Parliament.I gave an assurance to the right hon. Gentleman opposite that I would introduce this provision that a report should be made by the Board to the Minister, and that the Minister would lay the report before Parliament. It did not go as far as he asked, but I have used precisely the same words that we used in an Act of Parliament with which he and I were concerned a few years ago. The right hon. Gentleman probably recognises the words. I think that they have proved satisfactory, and will ensure that Parliament is kept fully informed.
