Resolved, That, for the purposes of any Act of this Session to authorise further advances to the National Coal Board for capital purposes, it is expedient to authorise such increases in the sums which by or under any enactment are to be or may be charged on or issued out of the Consolidated Fund, raised by borrowing or paid into the Exchequer as may result from replacing the restrictions on the power to make advances to the National Coal Board under subsection (1) of section twenty-six of the Coal Industry Nationalisation Act, 1946, by a provision limiting to seven hundred and fifty million pounds the aggregate amount outstanding by way of principal in respect of such advances.—[Mr. George.]
