… whether Her Majesty's Government … has now agreed to permit Western Germany to build submarines; and how many.1152 As the right hon. Gentleman will be aware, no amendment has taken place. Under the terms of the Brussels Treaty, Western Germany was allowed to build submarines up to a tonnage of 350 tons.
