asked the President of the Board of Trade when the report of the survey of shopping habits is to be published.

Mr. Maudling

A draft Report on the survey has been received. It is now being examined and I shall shortly decide about publication.

Mr. Darling

Now that we have the proposed Bill dealing with weights and measures, and the Molony Committee dealing with a wide range of shopping problems, what is the purpose of this survey? What is it to do?

Mr. Maudling

I understand that the tabulated results of the survey were available in August and they have been taken into account in preparing the Bill which will be presented to Parliament.
