asked the Secretary of State for Air how soon he anticipates being able to make a decision on the future róle of Horsham St. Faith's Royal Air Force Station, so that the arrangements concerning the provision of alternative routes to and from Norwich can be decided on.

We hope to put firm proposals to the highway authority very shortly.

Is my right hon. Friend aware that some of the roads leading into Norwich have been closed for more than twenty years without any satisfactory alternatives being provided and that this announcement today will be very warmly welcomed throughout the county?
