§ The Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Works (Mr. Harmar Nicholls)An investigation was carried out at the request of the Ministry of Transport by the Joint Fire Research Organisation of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research into certain aspects of a recent fire which occurred after an accident between a 1024 lorry and a Glasgow tramcar. This has been completed and the results forwarded to the Ministry of Transport who are investigating the accident.
