HC Deb 06 May 1959 vol 605 c385
40 Mr. de Freitas

asked the Secretary of State for Air what proposals he has as to the future of the Directorate of Work Study.

The Under-Secretary of State for Air (Mr. Airey Neave)

We intend to develop our Work Study organisation as fully as we can. We are applying work study techniques very widely throughout the R.A.F., and are always on the lookout for possibilities of improving the organisation to meet changing requirements.

Mr. de Freitas

That may be so, but it does not answer my Question. What is to be the the future of the Directorate of Work Study? Is the responsibility for work study to be handed to Commands and Departments, or is it to remain with the Directorate itself?

Mr. Neave

As I have said, we are keeping the present work study organisation under review to see what improvements car be made. We are shortly to have a report on the whole subject.
