I beg to move, in page 20, line 14 to leave out from the beginning to "is" in line 17 and to insert: A patient may be received into guardianship. for the period allowed by the following provisions of this Act, in pursuance of an application (in this Act referred to as a guardianship application) made in accordance with the following provisions of this section. (2) A guardianship application may be made in respect of a patient on the grounds— (a) that he". This, and the next two Amendments to lines 19 and 25, are drafting. The three Amendments together revise the wording of the Clause to correspond with the revised wording of Clauses 25 and 26 achieved by the Amendments respectively to page 14, lines 4 and 30.

Further Amendments made: In page 20, line 19, leave out "any case" and insert: the case of a patient of any age".

In line 25, leave out from beginning to "and" in line 26, and insert: warrants the reception of the patient into guardianship under this section".
