HC Deb 25 March 1959 vol 602 cc1297-8
1. Mr. de Freitas

asked the Secretary of State for Air how much space the TSR2 will require for landing.

The Secretary of State for Air (Mr. George Ward)

About 600 yards.

Mr. de Freitas

In view of the remarkable possibilities of this aircraft and of the recent failures of the Government to impress upon our Allies the qualities of our military aircraft, will the Secretary of State do all he can in the course of the development of the TSR2 to give as much information as possible, following the American pattern, so that our Allies may become interested in buying this aircraft?

Mr. Ward

Yes, Sir.
