HC Deb 17 March 1959 vol 602 c203
42. Sir W. Anstruther-Gray

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what he estimates will be the effect on the South-East of Scotland of the decision to speed up work on road construction.

Mr. N. Macpherson

My right hon. Friend has authorised additional highway expenditure in the South-East of Scotland to a total value of about £98,000. I shall, with permission, circulate detailed information in the OFFICIAL REPORT.

Sir W. Anstruther-Gray

Does this include a speeding-up of work on the Dunbar bypass, which is particularly needed?

Mr. Macpherson

No, I think not.
