Ordered, That this day Business other than the Business of Supply may be taken before Ten o'clock.—[Mr. Heath.]

Ordered, That this day—

  1. (1) paragraph (5) of Standing Order No. 16 (Business of Supply) shall have effect as if a reference to Seven o'clock were substituted for a reference to half-past Nine o'clock, and
  2. (2) Proceedings on any Private Business set down for consideration at Seven o'clock by direction of the Chairman of Ways and Means shall not be entered upon until after the Proceedings on the Report of Resolutions from the Committee of Ways and Means [12th March] and on the introduction and presentation of any Bill founded upon those Resolutions shall have been concluded.—[Mr. Heath.]

Ordered, That Proceedings on any Private Business set down for consideration at Seven o'clock this evening by direction of the Chairman of Ways and Means, be exempted from the provisions of Standing Order No. 1 (Sittings of the House) and that, notwithstanding anything in Standing Order No. 7 (Time for taking Private Business), any such Private Business may be taken after Nine o'clock.—[Mr. Heath.]
