HC Deb 11 March 1959 vol 601 c1228
5. Mr. Mason

asked the Secretary of State for War how many different main types of three-ton trucks are now being provided for the Army; what are the major differences in main components, such as engine, gear-box and transmission; and for how many different types of instruments and accessories spares have to be held in Army supply units.

Mr. Soames

We are providing one standard three-ton chassis on which can be built eight different bodies according to need. This keeps the range of spares to a minimum. There are no additional instruments or accessories.
