asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what steps he is taking to secure the release of Mr. Swinburn and Mr. Zarb, imprisoned by the Egyptian Government.

I have nothing to add to the answer my right hon. and learned Friend gave to my hon. Friend on 12th November.

Mr. Wall

Would not my hon. Friend agree that the spirit of any agreement likely to be signed with the United Arab Republic would be much better if these two men were released?

The question of the release of these two men is different from that of the signing of a financial agreement.
