§ Mr. AlportConsideration of this project has not yet reached the point at which the question of financial assistance from the United Kingdom Government arises.
§ Mr. BottomleyCan the Under-Secretary say whether, if this arises, the Government will sympathetically consider making some provision to help in the scheme so as to help the engineering industry in this country.
§ Mr. AlportI cannot give a full answer to that until we see the circumstances in which the proposition is put to us. I can assure the right hon. Gentleman, as indeed he knows, that we have always been concerned with the future of this important project.
