HC Deb 27 January 1959 vol 598 c859
6. Sir A. V. Harvey

asked the Minister of Works what progress has been made with the plans for a memorial to the late Marshal of the Royal Air Force the Viscount Trenchard.

The Minister of Works (Mr. Hugh Molson)

After consulting my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Air, I have appointed a Committee to advise me on the erection of a statue to the late Lord Trenchard. Lord Templewood has agreed to act as Chairman. Lord De L'Isle, Sir Albert Richardson and Marshal of the Royal Air Force Sir Dermot Boyle have agreed to serve as members of the Committee.

Sir A. V. Harvey

Is my right hon. Friend aware that his Answer will give much satisfaction to those who served under Lord Trenchard in the Royal Air Force and to the nation as a whole?
