asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what action he is proposing to take, following the deputation from the London County Council, to look into the position of all- night clubs.

I would refer the hon. Member to the Answer which my right hon. Friend gave on 27th January to the hon. Member for Clapham (Mr. Gibson).

Is the hon. and learned Gentleman aware that there is still concern about this matter, and is he taking any steps to deal with it?

Mr. Renton

I am not sure what the hon. Gentleman has in mind when he refers to "steps to deal with it", but, if be is referring to the possibility of further legislation, I certainly cannot offer him any hope of this in the near future.
