Resolved, That, for the purpose of any Act of this Session to enable effect to be given to proposed increases in the quotas of the International Monetary Fund and in the capital stock of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, it is expedient to authorise—

  1. (a) the payment out of the Consolidated Fund of the sums required for the purpose of paying, in connection with the proposed increases, any subscriptions to the International Monetary Fund and any amounts payable to the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development;
  2. (b)the borrowing in any manner authorised under the National Loans Act, 1939, and payment into the Exchequer of any money needed for providing any sums to be so paid or for replacing any sums so paid.—[Mr. Amory.]
