§ 4. Mr. M. Clark Hutchisonasked the President of the Board of Trade whether he is aware of the success of the Design Centre in the Haymarket, London; and if he will approach the Council of Industrial Design with a view to getting a similar centre established in Edinburgh.
§ Mr. J. RodgersI am certainly aware of the success of the Design Centre in London; indeed, I visited it yesterday. There is already a Design Centre in Glasgow which was opened in 1957 and this should cater for the needs of those interested in good design throughout Scotland.
