§ Mr. SwinglerWill the Under-Secretary kindly check that information? Is he aware that it was reported in the Press that Mr. Mboya made a speech demanding some form of investigation of the situation? Could there therefore be some consultation?
§ Mr. AmeryNo, Sir. I have checked with the Governor. What appeared in the Press was a misunderstanding of Mr. Mboya's request to the Governor to intervene in the strike. He did not ask for inquiries, as far as I am aware.
