Friend have regard not only to the purely military considerations of the matter but bear in mind that this was an arduous as well as an expert campaign, that a number of casualties were suffered, and that a number of awards for gallantry were made? Will he bear in mind that the earlier the decision the more welcome it will be to the troops who took part?
